Residents and Staff of the John Bertram House have had a busy start to October!  The first of many future JBH Dances was held in the historical Ballroom now used as the Dining Room.  Residents also enjoyed outing to the Boston Aquarium and the Topsfield Fair with the company of our Salem State University Interns!  We are steadily preparing for Halloween in a few short weeks when we typically host over 500 Trick-or-Treaters- BOO!

Customer Satisfaction Survey: The John Bertram House received high ranking in the 2015 Annual Sunrise Senior Living Customer Satisfaction Survey.  Of 300 Sunrise Homes JOHN BERTRAM HOUSE RANKED #1 IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION FOR 2015!  We appreciated the confidence and trust in our Staff by Residents and their families.

Celebrating 25 Years:  On September 17th the John Bertram House proudly celebrated 25 years of Service and the honor of being recognized as Massachusetts' First Assisted Living Community.  The Residents and Staff welcomed Friends, Family, and Colleagues, old and new, to remember Captain John Bertram's Legacy, 25 years of dedicated service, and excitement for the future!

Planting a tree for the future:  In honor of Assisted Living Week and the 25th Year of Assisted Living in Massachusetts the John Bertram House planted an Elm Tree on the Salem Common.  The tree replaces a tree by the playground that was lost to poor health.  The Elm tree is significant because Captain Bertram planted many Elm trees for the beautification of the City of Salem.
